In the Best Interests of Baseball? The Revolutionary Reign of Bud Selig

A dry book - doesn't get to the heart of the matter until halfway through and then CONTINUOUSLY calls Borchart Field - Orchards Field - has this man never heard of Borchart Field? Or did he hear it spoken one time and then thought it was pronounced Orchards and continued his stupidity on through his book without ever researching it - over half a dozen times.

Baseball may look pretty on the surface, but it stinks underneath, a scam perpetuated by generations of greedy, myopic owners and the stooges they make their commissioners. That's one way to describe the thesis of this 2006 book by noted sports labor scholar Andrew Zimbalist.

Dr. Zimbalist is an accomplished writer and has a wealth of experience examining the business side of major league baseball.
